We had our common core standards, so a direction where we needed to head. Then we started talking with ss about what they knew about force and motion. We came up with an essential question- he do I make a model move? Ss had a pbl folder with rubric/ due dates/ vocab words that they needed to define and learn/ and blank paper to draw pictures and take notes. They built a model in groups and then took pictures or movie to show their model moving. Then we came up with different ways they could share their learning- iMovie, Powtoons, google presentation, poster, etc. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04513225568643599188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4403254905342284229.post-87342073927698458342014-03-31T15:45:34.299-05:002014-03-31T15:45:34.299-05:00Thanks for your input! I'm just struggling with what these large, overarching problems are that allow for so much discovery. Do you have a blog or anything I could read? Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!! Have rubrics and make sure ss understand their role. It's ok to fail! Be flexible and if you can work with another teacher. I've learned more this year about my teaching then I have in the past 8 yrs! A lot of reflection!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04513225568643599188noreply@blogger.com
