I use stations in my middle school math class and I usually have the following stations: 1.) teacher time (as you described) but I usually use this for intervention/extension. 2.) Khan Academy (work on our current topic of study or skills thy need more work on). 3. Problem of the Month (from <br />Inside mathematics.org). <br /><br />I have 60 minute classes which are so short to do stations, but I still try to do them. <br /><br />At my previous school where I had 90 minute classes, I also had a Homework Check station where I left the answer key and the kids could check their homework. I've also done a Math 24 station, which is fun but I'm not sure it's very meaningful...<br /><br />Let me know what you think or if you have other ideas!
